As a psychologist focused on social justice and the importance of intersectionality, my goal is to help people from various populations find the help they need to overcome life difficulties. I use a more modern approach combining theoretical orientations: cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic theory, and transpersonal skills with a feminist and multicultural-focused treatment. In sessions, I use bibliotherapy, fandoms, video games, comics, movies, and other media. This approach is done by using psychological theory as a base for treatment and the other areas listed as techniques and skills based on the needs (and fandoms) of each client.
My clinical focuses are trauma, dissociative disorders, plural populations (plural positive), life transitions, LGBTQ+ concerns, Latinx mental health, and support for other services providers and mental health clinicians.
I also provide consultation for other clinicians regarding diversity and plural/DID topics. Workshops on these topics are also provided for agencies, hospitals, tech companies and more.
