As a psychologist focused on social justice and the importance of intersectionality, my goal is to help people from various populations find the help they need to overcome life difficulties. I use a more modern approach combining theoretical orientations: cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic theory and transpersonal skills with a feminist and multicultural focused treatment. In sessions I use bibliotherapy, fandoms, video games, comics, movies and other media. This approach is done by using psychological theory as a base for treatment and the other areas listed as techniques and skills based on the needs (and fandoms) of each client.
My clinical focuses are: trauma, dissociative disorders, plural populations (plural positive), life transitions, LGBTQ+ concerns, Latinx mental health, and support for other services providers and mental health clinicians.
